Having worked as a midwife for over 20 years, I have seen the highs and lows of our health service. Drawing from my background in working with women and their families, offering a focused approach that will re-empower self-belief, self-confidence and the understanding in our own unique abilities, all with an holistic approach.
How does all this hypnosis and massage stuff work? Well, it's pretty cool really. Working on the mind using hypnotherapy not only helps with physical symptoms like pain, but also with emotional symptoms like depression or anxiety. All dealt with simultaneously. The mind and body should be treated as one; a healthy mind = a healthy body. Your brain knows you best, it knows instinctively which bit needs tidying up first, what needs to be dealt with and when, and in doing so allows you to come up with the best solutions, providing you with clarity and focus.
Massage helps by providing the physical connection with your whole self, resetting the nervous system, helping with sleep, anxiety, pain, immunity and gut health, while hypnotherapy cuts out the middle man and provides a bespoke solution to any so-called problem. This gives us meaningful results as they work so well together, intrinsically knowing what is needed, and when.
In using both these modalities provides a unique and dual approach in alleviating emotional and physical stress, providing a general sense of balance and equilibrium. This combination is invaluable in bringing about a true sense of calmness during pregnancy, birth, early motherhood, as well as supporting women with hormonal imbalances or when navigating the menopause.
I also have an interest in working with neurodiversity, which comes from personal experience. Hypnotherapy so easily and effectively reduces all anxieties, leaving you to grow in confidence while keeping the creative and individual aspects of ourselves. The brain intellectualises the anxiety, taking control over it, leaving you stress free and able to take on the world.
